Je sais que ça fait bien trop longtemps que je n'ai pas posté quelque chose ici .... Comme je le disais dans le post précédent, je travaille dur sur mon nouveau site web. Il est finalement prêt et je suis super exitée pour sa mise en ligne lundi. Youpi !

I know it's been too long since I posted something here.... Like I said in the previous post, I've been working on my new web-site. It is finaly ready and I'm super exited to tell you that it will be online on monday. Yay !

I decided that it was time for a fresh new website, were everything that you need to know about pop-a-porter will be there, from a good 'about me' page to an updated portfolio, with professional pages for press & wholesale and of course a shop! Full with beautiful colourful works. 

A web-site that I will build myself!  Meaning for me, a web-site that I can updated myself and keep up te date. ( I got a lot of help for my current shop, even more help for my old web-site) and doing all the necessary updated is quite difficult technically, so I took the hard decision to switch to Wordpress and mastering it ! 

It already looks quite beautifull and I'm exited to show it to you (it is not online yet, don't try to find it ). Of course I'll let you know evewrything about it in time. 

The other big decision I took is to separate my jewellery work from my  my posts abouts my dutch way of life. 

-Refocus.

 The new web-site will only be about my jewellery... 

But I'm already thinking about opening a new blog or use this one to talk about all the other things I love, like cooking, gardening, floral composition... of course I'll let you know as well. 

Changes are good, changes are necessary, because we never stop to grow.

As I told you a few days ago, I decided to go back to basics with working with plexiglas again  

and this is my first prototype.

The limited collection will normally be available at the end of the month

Voici l'emballage retenu pour ma boutique Etsy, 

Vos cadeaux seront envoyés dans cette jolie enveloppe rayé vert menthe et blanche, 

ficelée et scellée à l'effigie de mon logo. 

J'y ajoute aussi une étiquette craft qui permettra d'inscrire l'heureux destinataire du cadeau

à de jolie perles en verres, jaune pastel

pour laisser les couleurs s'exprimer

I associate the different wooden beads that I painted, 

with pretty pastel yellow glass beads, 

to let the colors speak

Comme je vous l'avais annonce dans un précédent billet, mon chéri et moi, 

avons enfin trouvé l'appart de nos rêves! 

Les mois derniers on été consacré à la prises de décisions, remplissage des boites de déménagement, rénovation, construction, nettoyage, déménagement et maintenant vidage de boites! 

Je dois bien avouer que j'avais sous-estimé l'ampleur de la tache qu'un déménagement requiert, 

heureusement, nos parents avait répondu  présent pour nous aider :-)

Nous attendons toujours notre plan de travail

Like I told you in a previous post,

 my boyfriend and I finaly found the appartment of our dreams ! 

These last couples of  month have been full of decisions making,

  boxes to fill, renovation. contruction, 

cleanning, moving out and now boxes to empty ! 

What a work, I must confess that I underestimated the task. 

Hopfully our parents came from france to help us  :-)

We are still waiting for our worktop, ikea made a mistake in the measurements

bouquet week 43

I bought this vase at the woonbeurs 

at the 101 woonideeën shop  

and because it is a chemist inspired vase, 

I decided to make a little experiment. 

I putted some food colourant in the water 

to see if the flowers are changing colours... 

:-) 

turning my living room into a foto studio

 Last week, 

In order to get some nice pictures of my necklaces on my manequin for my web-shop ,

I made a nice background, simply by painting a big piece of paper and hanging  it in my living room... 

now the living room, looks like a photo studio :-)

still a few pictures to make , then it'll come back to normal.

Behing the sceen # the hair pins

Nancy from Rare bird asked me to make some hair clips for baby's. 

I thought that it is the season of weddings, and I directed myself into chic little hair clips. 

I found this cute little grey flowers that I fixed on the clips. 

 I'm still researching the best packaging... 

While beeing in the shop where I buy my materials, 

I found more of this cute flowers, I though : 

Why make hair pins only for baby's?

 the moms ( or not) can also have some cute little hair pins 

to wear on weddings, 

I then made theses littles colourfull hair pins. 

thanks to my label pusher, 

I made the packaging cards, 

stamped them with my self made stamps 

4 holes and 'voila'  !
